I, Kuldip Singh, S/o S. Bhagwan Singh, aged 62 yrs., R/o Plot No. 92, WZ – 83, Vishnu Garden, New Delhi-110018, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:- 

1.                  That in Oct. / Nov. 84,  I and my family consisting of my wife and three children were staying in our own house RZ-48 /A 3, Sagarpur, Gali No.6, N.D.

2.                  That I was working 505, Army Base Workshop, Delhi Cantt. as a foreman.

3.                  That when I returned home on 31^st Oct. 84, after finishing my duty at about 6 P.M., there was lot of tension in the colony.

4.                  That at about 9 P.M. on 31^st Oct.`84, a violent mob of about 150 persons attacked my house.

5.                  That my family and I ran away from our house by the rear door and hid ourselves in the laterine of our neighbor Lala Kashi Ram and stayed hiding there. On 3^rd Nov. we were evacuated to Gurdwara Delhi Cantt. From our hiding place we could hear lot of shouting coming from our house and ultimately a loud explosion took place in our house and our house was engulfed by fire.

6.                  That when we visited our house on 8^th Nov.`84, we saw that everything had been either looted or reduced to ashes.  Since the house was of concrete construction the beams had cracked and floors had developed depression.  It was a total loss.

7.                  That thereafter I lodged an FIR No. 58 dated 08-11-84,  in Tilak Nagar, Police Station.  ( copy attached)

8.                  That I suffered a total loss of Rs.1,65,900/- as detailed in the FIR.

9.                  That I have received a compensation of Rs.20,000/- (Rs.10,000/- on two occasions).

10.              That I pray that my loss be compensated.
