I, Surjit Singh, S/o S. Gopal Singh,  aged 50 yrs., R/o 742/7, Gobindpuri, Kalkaji Ext., New Delhi-19, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-

1.                  That in Oct./Nov.`84, my family and I were residing at C-245, Slum Quarters, Kalkaji Ext.  I was plying a 3-wheeler scooter rikshaw.  I owned 3-wheeler scooter no. DHR-2114.

2.                  That on 31^st Oct.`84, at about 11 P.M. some miscreants damaged my scooter rikshaw and pelted stones on my window panes  and went away.  I rang up Police at telephone No.100.  The Police Flying Squad did come but seeing no mob there, went away.  Later, past midnight, Sh. Bhupinder Kumar Rishi, SHO, Kalkaji came he told me, “Sardar ji, there is great danger for you.  I advise you to move to a safe place.”

3.                  That on 1^st Nov. at about 10 A.M., I  and my family moved across to Govindpuri- which had a  good sikh population.  I stayed there with a friend on that day.

4.                  That on 2^nd Nov.`84, when I returned to my house, I found that my house had been completely looted and furniture etc. had been stacked on the road and burnt.  I suffered a loss of Rs.2 lakhs which is recorded in the FIR lodged immediately by me on (copy attached).  My above said scooter rikshaw had been extensively damaged.

5.                  That I have received no compensation what  so ever so far.
