Affidavit of Nanavati Commission

I, Rani Kaur W/o Late S. Atma Singh aged about 35 yrs. R/o H.No.13/35, Kalyanpuri, Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:- 1. That I am making my survival by working pots, cloth and brooming in the houses of master / rich persons. 2. That during Nov.`84, I and my family were living at my above said address and my husband was working as mason. 3. That after the assassination of then Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi on 1st Nov.`84, my husband who has gone for his work was supposed to be killed by the mob since he did not come back and the death certificate of my husband is enclosed herewith and on same day the mob came at my residence at about 11 A.M. and attacked my residence I hardly manage to save my self hiding myself and taking shelter in my neighbour house. Later on I learnt that my said house was looted and set on fire by the said mob. 4. That I lodged an FIR at Police Station, Kalyanpuri on 23-11-84 the photocopy of same is annexed herewith. 5. That I suffered a loss of Rs.50,000/- including one pair ear ring 10 Gm.(golden), one Ring, one neck less (all golden) one T.V.(B&W), one two in one, one sewing machine. 6. That it is learned that other may victim had received death compensation of Rs.3,50,000/- but I could’nt able to receive the same till date. So I may be considered and paid the same amount i.e. Rs.3.5 lakhs. 7. That I have not received any compensation from any where. |
