I, S.Hardayal Singh S/o Late S. Harnam Singh, age 87, R/o D/24 B, Vijay Nagar, Single Story, Delhi-110009 do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:- 

1.                  That my son S. Arjun Singh age 24 yrs. (in 1984) was a driver.  He was staying with me.  He was driving oil tanker No. DLG 3618.

2.                  That my son on 31^st October’84, at 7 A.M. gave me a ring from Gaziabad that the oil will be filled in the tanker next day on 1^st November’84.

3.                  That my son left Gaziabad with empty tank as the factory was closed,  after the death of Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

4.                  That the tanker reached Nand Nagri near Railway crossing on 1^st November’84.

5.                  That an unruly mob at Railway crossing Nand Nagri stopped the tanker and burnt  it along with  my son.

6.                  That the 4-5 tankers and truck were burnt at Railway crossing Nand Nagri and unidentified dead bodies were also recovered as per Police report SHO Seemapuri (copy attached) in four numbers.

7.                  The police cremated the bodies without recording photographs and one of the unidentified body was of my son S. Arjun Singh. 

8.                  That claim for the oil tanker DLG 3618 was settled by the Insurance company in 1985.

9.                  That I have not yet been given compensation for the death of my son S. Arjun Singh in spite of my best efforts.

10.              That I request that compensation for the death of my son S. Arjun Singh Rs. 3.5 lacs may be sanctioned as has been paid to the neax of kin of a person killed in Delhi.
