I, Kanwaljit Kaur W/o S. Balwant Singh age 40 age, now residing Plot No. 8, Vikaspuri Extn. Chander Vihar, New Delhi do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:

1.                  That in Oct./Nov.84, my family consisting of mother Kaushlya Rani, father late S. Than Singh Narang brothers Balraj Singh, Baljit Singh, Amrik Singh, sisters Amrit Kaur, Gurjit Kaur, and grand father Sh. Puran Chand were staying A-3/9, Nand Nagri, New Delhi.

2.                  That I was staying in H. No. 47, Mohalla Sri Nagar, Hapur, U.P.

3.                  That on 10^th Nov. 84, I received a phone call from a relative about carnage at Nand Nagri.

4.                  That I prompty came to Delhi and went to the residence of my parents in Nand Nagri.

5.                  That from the neighbours I came to know that my younger brother Amrik Singh age 12 years, and sister Amrit Kaur (12) and sister Gurjit Kaur age 10 years, are the only survivors and are admitted in General Hospital, Shahdara. The rest, namely father, mother, brothers Balraj Singh, Baljit Singh & grand father Puran Chand were killed and burnt in the house.

6.                  My father was a field officer of Bank of Maharastra for opening new household accounts. He always had daily collections at home for depositing in the Bank of Maharastra next day. He had collection of 30^th & 31^st Oct at home.

7.                  At home I visited my parents residence it was a heap of rubble. The total loss of property and house hold good was once 1-5 lacs.

8.                  That I lodged an FIR on 10-11-1984 with Nand Nagri Police Station.

9.                  That the survivors have received financial compensation for the death of 5 members of the family.
