I, Surjeet Singh S/o S. Sant Singh aged about 31 yrs. R/o H.No. 6 and 7, Block 13, Sultanpuri, Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:- 

1.                  That in Nov.`84, I was residing in H.No.6 and 7, Block 13, Sultanpuri, Delhi.

2.                  That on 1^st Nov.`84, at about 2 or 3 P.M. the mob roaming around and shouting slogans that the Sikhs be killed.  The said mob was having lathis etc. in their hands.

3.                  That in the said violent mob some of the person of our locality were also there to whom I can identify as Dr. D.K.Kar and Naresh Aggarwal.  They have murdered several Sikhs in our locality.

4.                  That after some time our house was also attacked by the mob.  Due to fear I jumped over the boundary wall of our house and hid myself in rationing shop.

5.                  That some of our relatives also came to our house.  On seeing them coming to our house the said violent mob attract and once again attacked our house which was resisted by our relatives.

6.                  That 2^nd Nov.`84, at about 10 A.M. my neigh borer had given one saree which I worn and left that rationing shop and went to the Block 11 of Kalyanpuri.

7.                  That in the meantime our house was burnt by the said violent mob.  This fact I came to know subsequently.

8.                  That on 3^rd Nov.`84, army came in the area and we were taken to the Camp.  That from Camp we went to Jallandhar stayed there for about 1 year and thereafter we came back to Delhi.

9.                  That I have lodged a police report with the police.  My shop was on the ground floor and house was on the first floor both were looted and burnt.

10.              That I have suffered a loss to the tune of Rs.1 – 1.5 lakh in respect of shop as well as house which I am entitled to.

11.              That I have received a sum of Rs.2,000/- as compensation only.
