I, Pritam Singh, S/o Late S. Amar Singh, aged 65 yrs., R/o J-64, Arun Nagar, Majnu Tilla Colony, New Delhi-110052, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-

1.                  That in Oct./Nov.`84, I was residing at 479/3, Vijay Park, Gali No.1, Maujpur, Delhi.

2.                  That on 1^st Nov.`84, at about 9 A.M. a violent armed mob attacked my house.  The mob killed my son Balwant Singh age 18 yrs., I was wounded in the head and other parts of the body.  The mob set my house on fire my wife and two daughters ran away from the burning house and sought shelter in Nanak Sar Gurdwara.  I also ran away and hiding in the gali and a “Nala” reached Nanak Sar Gurdwara in the evening when it was dark.

3.                  That the volunteer doctors attended to the wounded including me.

4.                  That I and my family stayed the Nanak Sar Gurdwara for three months.

5.                  That my son Harpal Singh lodged an FIR  with Yamuna Vihar, Police Station.  (copy attached)

6.                  That I suffered a loss of Rs.50,000/- in the loss of property.  This is so recorded in the FIR.

7.                  That I remained under treatment for 2 years.

8.                  That I received compensation for the death of my son only- I received nothing for my property.
