I, Rajinder Kaur W/o Late S. Kuljeet Singh aged 36 yrs. R/o 237, Krishna Mandir Marg, Maujpur, Delhi-53, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-

1.                  That in Oct./Nov.`84, I was staying at the above mention address.  My husband and two children were also staying there.

2.                  That on 31^st Oct.`84, no disturbance took place in my area.

3.                  That on 1^st Nov.`84, about 11 A.M. a huge armed violent mob attacked our house.  The mob looted and burnt our outer room.  I and  my family were hiding in the back room and escaped mob fury.  We stayed that  night in our house.

4.                  That at 3 P.M. on 2^nd Nov.`84, the violent mob returned again and attacked our house again.  This time they set the whole house on fire.  I, my husband were compelled to come out to save our small children aged 1 year and 8 months.  The mob seized my husband and took him away.

5.                  That two hours later the military vehicles arrived and I and my children were taken to Shyam Lal College Refugee Camp.  My husband’s burnt body was brought there with a large number of other burnt and half burnt bodies.

6.                  That I lodged an FIR  with P.S.Yamuna Puri regarding the death of my husband and looting and burning of the household goods and the house.  (Copy attached FIR No. 276/84).  Besides the death of my husband I had suffered a financial loss of Rs. 1 lakh on account of damage to my house and looting etc. of my belongings / household goods.  I have received no compensation for  financial loss suffered by me though I did receive the death compensation on account of death of my late husband.
