I, Tarlochan Kaur S/o Late S. Prem Singh aged about 60 yrs. R/o H.No. 509, Gali No.6, Vijay Park, Maujpur, Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:- 

1.                  That in Oct./Nov.`84, I and my family consisting of my  husband and five sons, were staying at the above address.  My husband was a tailor.  My sons were also employed.  Our’s was a solitary sikh house.

2.                  That we remained safe on 31^st Oct.& 1^st Nov.`84.

3.                  That since ours was the only Sikh house in the locality, we thought that we would escape notice and thus felt safe and made no effort to relocate ourselves.

4.                  That at about 10 A.M.  on 2^nd Nov.`84, a violent mob attacked my house.  They got hold of my husband S.Prem Singh and two sons Swaran Singh and Prem Singh severely attacked within the house with sharp weapons.  They were  injured.  The mob pour kerosene oil on them and set them on fire whilst still writhing in pain.  I also received some injuries trying to save my children.  The mob set fire to my house also.  Seeing this horrible carnage.  I fell unconscious.

5.                  That when I came to, I found myself in the house of Shri Charanji Lal.  He had picked me up from the burning house and saved me.  He sheltered me for 3 days.  I was sent to Nanak Sar Ashram  after 3 days.  My two children were also saved by Sh. Charanji Lal and came to Nanak Sar Camp with me. 

6.                  That beside the terrible loss of husband and two grown up sons (age 20 and 18 yrs.) I suffered a financial loss of Rs.1.5 lakhs in household goods and the burning of the house.

7.                  That I received compensation for the death of my husband and two sons.

8.                  That I received only Rs.5,000/- for my financial loss.  The loss to the extent of Rs.1,45,000/- has not been made good.
