Sardar Jasvinder Singh was my younger brother. Some of my goods, stolen during the riots, were recovered and restored to my brother by the Court. The police had recorded our statements. My brother’s statement was recorded in the court also. The police had taken some persons into custody but I cannot say if 31 persons were taken into custody. [ Learned Counsel Mr. S.S. Gandhi says that the incidents referred to by the witness is covered by the case FIR 316/84, Police Station Bara Hindu Rao. It was registered on 1.11.84 .]
