I had filed an affidavit before Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission of Inquiry. I had filed another affidavit before this Commission also. The affidavits are taken on record and marked as Exhibit No.33/1 and 33/2 respectively. House No.161 and 162 of block No.11 of Kalyanpuri really constitutes one house. I also say that in the copy of my affidavit which was filed before Justice Ranganath Misra Commission my name is wrongly shown as Dhanpat Singh. My correct name is Ganpat Singh. The affidavit is taken on record and marked as Exhibit No.W33/1. On 2.11.84 at about 9.00 or 10.00 AM I had seen about five or six burnt bodies of the Sikhs lying in the park of Block No.13 of Kalyanpuri, Delhi. We left our houses after they were set on fire and we went to open space of the park in block no.11 in Kalyanpuri. About 1000 sardars were collected there. I had seen the burning of huts myself. We remained there in the open space for about three to four days. One police officer of Kalyanpuri Thane has saved us all. That officer had two stars. We had collected about two to three thousand rupees and gave it to that officer and requested him to protect us. The money was paid to him in my presence on 2nd November, 1984 in the evening. The money was paid by Mr.Pritam Singh. Pritam Singh was the pradhan of our community head. I received summons from the Kakardooma Courts to appear as witness. I had gone to that court but I was threatened by Shri Ashok Ram Path, Mr.Kesri, Shri Sukh Lal Sud and Bira Gujjar. They had told me that if I give witness I will be killed. Dr. Ashok and Sukh Lal Sud belong to Congress Party. Because of the threat I did not give any evidence in the court and said that I had not seen anything. I had not lodged any report in the police also because of those the threat.

Cross examination by Shri S.S.Gandhi, Sr. Advocate on behalf of Delhi Police.

The affidavit which I have filed before the Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission of Inquiry is dictated by me and it was written by a person who knew how to write. The affidavit is thereafter read over to me and then I put my thumb impression. The affidavit which I had filed before this Commission was also drafted at my instance. It was written down in English its translation is explained to me in vernacular and thereafter I put my thumb impression. I say that I was informed by someone that my son is killed near Kundlipul. My son had left our house half an hour earlier before I was so informed.. I was at my house when I was informed about the death of my son. The army had come to our locality in the evening of 3.11.84. We had collected in the open park in Block No.11 soon after our houses were brunt on 1.11.84 night. A big crowds were moving around but no body had come to that park to attack us. The policemen were moving around that park with mob . I had given the evidence in the Kakardooma Courts respect of the incident of killing of my son.
